Klaus Hesse
Klaus Hesse born in Elberfeld studied Photography and Typography at the University of Wuppertal. Following his studies, he worked as an Art Director in Hamburg, Munich and Düsseldorf. Together with Christine Hesse he founded Hesse Design in Düsseldorf in 1988, and in Berlin in 2001. Hesse Design is responsible for the corporate image of numerous renowned German companies. In 2004, the specialist media nominated Hesse Design as the most creative design studio in Germany. In 2006, Klaus Hesse won the design competition at “Kieler Woche”. In 1993, he was appointed Professor for Communication Design in Dortmund and, in 1998, also in Essen. He has taught in Offenbach since 1999. Klaus Hesse is Dean of Visual Communication faculty since 2011. He has been one of the initiators of “11 Designer” in 2003, the “1st Graphic Design Biennial Germany China 2010” and is the Editor-in-Chief of “sushi” magazine since 1998. Klaus Hesse is a member of TDC New York and ADC Germany.

Platz 1 in 2006 für den von Prof. Klaus Hesse geleiteten Studienschwerpunkt »Kommunikationsdesign« an der HfG Offenbach. Dieser Erfolg basiert auf den zahlreich gewonnen Auszeichnungen der Studentinnen und Studenten der Klasse Hesse und den persönlichen Wettbewerbsgewinnen von Prof. Klaus Hesse. Das Ranking der Kreativhochschulen wurde in 2006 erstmalig vom Nachrichtenmagazin »Focus« in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Art Directors Club für Deutschland durchgeführt.
