»Hessenpark is alive«
HfG Offenbach's students present their ideas for a new museum design in this exhibition. Their studies were created for a design competition in summer semester of 2012. Nicolas Ritter came out on top with his contribution »Der Hessenpark lebt« (Hessenpark is Alive). His work will be the base for the new design of the open air museum, which will be launched during the season of 2013. The open air museum, founded in 1974, aims at presenting the rural cultural history of Germany's federal state of Hessen over the past 400 years in a manner as lively and imaginative as possible. For this purpose the museum collects cultural artefacts, preserves them and researches their historical context.
