Stanley – The Open Question Magazine

The knowledge of the world doubles every five years – and as such the “non-knowledge” doubles too. Every new insight immediately creates a new lack of perception. Growing numbers of researchers work on ever more detailed questions, to fill all the gaps. They are driven by curiosity and a thirst for knowledge but also because they search answers to the big questions of humanity – what is the cosmos, what drives life, what is consciousness? Stanley is a magazine about the one hundred most important open questions of science. With each edition Stanley reports the current state of “non-knowledge” in regards to each of these riddles. Every edition is a folded poster. Its backside explains its issue with text, graphics and data. The front is a photograph that visualises the systematic search of science by depicting unconventional trials, tests and experiments.
